FASTING RETREAT

For the first time on Iceland, you can experience a week-long fully supervised holistic fasting program at Karlsà Lodge in Dalvik, Iceland. The serene lodge has mountain and ocean views, sauna, jacuzzi tub for hydrotherapy.

In collaboration with my friend and seasoned fasting expert from the U.S., Sanya Webster, it will be an unforgettable and life changing experience, an amazing opportunity to reboot, recharge and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit.

During our time together, you will only consume water, herbal teas, hot vegetable broth and fresh juice, under guided supervision. You will allow your body and its whole system to reset.

The five-day fasting will be safely guided by us with a day of preparation prior to the fast and a day of learning how to safely break your fast. We will explore daily AM and PM meditation, dry skin brushing, oil pulling, hot tub and sauna, walks in nature, aromatherapy massage and daily wellness coaching, so you will be equipped to continue a healthier lifestyle on your own as part of your self-care routine.

We can all agree that stress, poor nutrition, exposure to toxic chemicals and the pressures of daily life lead to and can interfere with, normal elimination and repair in the body, which results our organism holding on to metabolic waste. Fasting is an incredibly safe approach to healing and the body already knows how to do it well.

It is known that fasting has been a part of human culture for thousands of years as an ancient and powerful approach for healing many common disease conditions. But it is only in the last few hundred years that humans have begun to investigate its therapeutic benefits and how it works. Modern science has found a variety of verifiable positive effects fasting has on human health: It allows the body to rest, detoxify and heal.

During the fast, the body uses its energy, not for digesting food, but for cleansing itself of accumulated toxins and healing sick cells. The body will consume and get rid of anything that is not essential for bodily functions.

While fasting is safe for most people, there are some who should not fast unless under the supervision of a health professional. Please consult your physician if fasting is safe for you.

To provide the right environment for holistic fasting we do not accept the following individuals:

  1. Individuals with heart problems, low or high blood pressure
  2. Individuals suffering from an eating disorder
  3. Individuals on medication
  4. Individuals recovering after surgery
  5. Individuals with no interest to grow spiritually
  6. Individuals fasting JUST to lose weight
